The first Quaest poll after the TV Globo interviews with presidential candidates shows a significant jump by Augusto Cury (Avante) in the electoral race. The writer went from 2% to 10% in voting intentions, overtaking Renan Santos (Missão) and taking third place among the best-positioned presidential candidates.
Cury's growth was driven by independent voters, those who do not identify with either the left or the right. Among this group, 24% say they intend to vote for the writer in the first round. However, 65% of independent voters still say they do not know Augusto Cury, while 18% know him and could vote for him, and 17% know him but would not vote for him.
