The PS councilors in the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar proposed the creation of municipal incentives aimed at attracting and retaining doctors in the district. The initiative comes as a response to the difficulties felt by users in accessing healthcare.
Councilor Pedro Crespo explained to VTM that this concern had already been identified by the PS before the elections and that it remains current. The proposal aims to initiate the elaboration of a municipal regulation, with the concrete definition of support being left for a later phase.
The first objective is not the immediate creation of support, but rather to formally open the procedure that will allow the construction of a municipal regulation. Subsequently, there will be a period dedicated to public participation, before the specific support measures are defined.
