The Municipality of Loulé joined the Portuguese Association Against Leukemia (APCL) in relaunching the "The Blood in Me" campaign, as part of Blood Cancer Awareness Month, commemorated in September. With the motto "If I were in charge," the initiative aims to give greater visibility to hemato-oncological diseases and promote reflection on how to improve healthcare provided to patients. The campaign featured the participation of healthcare professionals and patients who presented proposals in areas such as diagnosis, humanization, organization of NHS services, and post-treatment support. In Portugal, blood cancers represent approximately 7.8% of all diagnosed tumors. The campaign officially launches on September 3, in Lisbon, and will include important dates such as World Leukemia Day and World Lymphoma Day.
