The city of Coimbra welcomes from September 5 the exhibition "ECOLOGY, Human-Non-Human Relations in the Anthropocene", which will be inaugurated at Alma Shopping. The exhibition questions humanity's place on the planet, exploring the relationships between humans and non-humans in the Anthropocene era.
The exhibition brings together works by visual artists who are members of the Intelligent Artists Community, a collective dedicated to contemporary artistic production. The presented works address ecological issues and the way humans relate to the natural environment.
The event emerges in a context of growing concern with environmental issues and the ecological crisis that characterizes the current geological period, known as the Anthropocene, in which human activity has become the main transformative force on the planet.
