The Transiberian Water Rally Eurocity Chaves-Verín returns on September 11th and 12th for another edition, consolidating itself as one of the reference events of the Portuguese Rally Championship. Over two days, drivers and teams will cover a route that crosses the cross-border territory between Chaves, in Portugal, and Verín, in Spain, bringing speed, technique and spectacle to the road.
The 2026 edition is organized by CAMI Motorsport, with the support of the Municipality of Chaves, the Concello of Verín, the Eurocity Chaves-Verín AECT and the Portuguese Automobile and Karting Federation, also counting on the collaboration of Escudería Ourense. The rally takes on a strategic dimension for the Eurocity, promoting the connection between the two sides of the border and projecting a territory marked by a common identity, culture and tourism resources.
The countdown to the event officially begins on September 3rd, with the public presentation of the event at 3:00 PM at the headquarters of the Eurocity Chaves-Verín AECT. In this session, those responsible for the organization and partner entities will present the main details of this year's edition.
More than a sporting competition, the Water Rally aims to establish the Eurocity as a privileged stage for major sporting events of international dimension, reinforcing a sports brand that combines the tourism and territorial promotion of Chaves and Verín.
