The third edition of the Education Days takes place tomorrow, September 3rd, at the Chaves Casino, under the theme "Education in (Trans)formation: Neuroscience, Intelligence and Innovation". The event is promoted by the Municipality of Chaves, in partnership with the School of Education and the School of Hospitality and Well-being of the Polytechnic University of Bragança, aiming to bring together education professionals, researchers, students and specialists for a day dedicated to reflection on the current challenges of teaching and learning.
The program includes an initial plenary session followed by a round table entitled "Between the brain and algorithms: what education for the future?", which will address the relationship between education, technology and artificial intelligence. During the afternoon, four thematic panels will delve into issues such as attention in a digital environment, the influence of stress and emotions on the brain, the importance of creativity and critical thinking, and the role of spaces and rhythms in learning.
The organization highlights that the event seeks to bring scientific knowledge closer to the reality of schools, addressing topics increasingly present in everyday education, such as the impact of screens, notifications and artificial intelligence on learning ability. More than a professional update session, the aim is for the meeting to be a space for debate and joint construction of knowledge.
The sessions begin at 08:30 with the reception of participants, followed by the opening session at 09:30, the plenary session at 10:00 and the round table at 11:15. The four panels take place at 15:00, with a "Mystery Moment" at 17:00 and the closing session at 17:30. The central question that runs through the entire program is how to prepare today's education for a future that is already happening.
