The cell phone is the most used device by e-book and audiobook readers in Brazil, being used by 72% of this audience. The Digital Readers survey, conducted by NielsenIQ BookData and funded by the Skeelo platform, showed that smartphones outperform other devices such as computers (23%), e-readers (19%), and tablets (16%). The survey was presented on Wednesday (2) at the National Library in Brasília and surveyed 3,000 Brazilians over 10 years of age from all regions and socioeconomic classes of the country.

The study indicates that approximately 18 million Brazilians started reading more after they began consuming e-books and audiobooks. Among those interviewed, 43% of readers and 45% of digital book listeners stated they are reading "much more than before," demonstrating the positive impact of technology on the population's reading habits.

The survey also revealed that almost half of digital content readers have already accessed materials through unofficial channels, which raises concerns about piracy and copyright. This data suggests that despite the growth of the digital book market, there are still challenges related to the distribution and access to authentic content.

Among the reasons for seeking digital content, 78% of those interviewed stated they use these materials to acquire knowledge about new topics. The complete study was presented during an event at the National Library, consolidating important data about the profile and habits of Brazilian digital readers.

The difficult part isn't adopting AI, it's knowing what to do with it. The difficult thing is not adopting AI, it's knowing what to do with it

A study from MIT in 2025 reveals that 95% of generative AI projects in companies do not generate measurable returns, not due to lack of technology, but due to lack of method. The article argues that the question is no longer whether we should adopt AI — something already present in all organizations — but how to govern it, integrate it, and measure its results. Warning about the risk of automating inefficiency, emphasizing that having tools is not a strategy, and that AI without governance scales risk rather than intelligence. It argues that the competitive difference lies in transforming experimentation into scale and technology into sustainable value, which requires clarity about data, responsibilities, and quality criteria.
