The president of the Superior Electoral Court, Minister Nunes Marques, denied a request from presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro to remove from the air an electoral propaganda that associates him with the Master Bank scandal. The advertising piece is being aired by candidate Lula's campaign and displays an audio in which Flavinho Bolsonaro talks about a request for R$ 134 million from former banker Daniel Vorcaro to finance the Dark Horse film, about former President Jair Bolsonaro. In the propaganda, Lula's campaign states that Flavinho was "caught" by the Federal Police asking for money.

Flavio Bolsonaro's defense argued that the audio was taken out of context and that the propaganda creates a false perception of involvement in financial crimes. The candidate confirmed that the recording is real, but explained that the conversation was about a request for sponsorship from Vorcaro for a film about his father's life.

In the decision, Minister Nunes Marques stated that, as the candidate himself admitted the authenticity of the recording, the propaganda addresses a matter of public interest, which makes its maintenance on air within the limits of freedom of political expression. With this, he rejected the request to remove the material.
