Portuguese midfielder João Mário, 33 years old, has terminated his contract with Besiktas, a Turkish league club, and is currently in Athens to finalize his permanent transfer to AEK.
The player had been linked to Besiktas since 2021, having accumulated several seasons of experience in Turkish football before deciding to leave the club.
