Richard Ríos will leave Benfica during this transfer window. Al-Ittihad, from Saudi Arabia, is very close to securing the loan of the Colombian footballer, joining the club led by Domingos Soares de Oliveira, former CEO of the Luz club. According to Record newspaper's findings, Benfica and Al-Ittihad exchanged all documentation during the early hours of Tuesday night.
Everything is now settled for the Colombian midfielder to be loaned, with no purchase option, until the end of the season. This is a paid loan, allowing the eagles to pocket 3 million euros. Contractually, Al-Ittihad will also take over the Colombian's salary, relieving the encarnada SAD of that burden.
According to the same source, Richard Ríos no longer integrates Marco Silva's training session this Wednesday and leaves for Arabia today. The Colombian midfielder failed to earn a place in the manager's starting XI and did not take the field in the last two matches, against Aarhus and Estoril.
