BlackLine Expands Support for Complex Financial Workflows with PCI DSS Validation

Notícias Portugal2 September 2026 at 11:59

BlackLine, an automated finance company, announced the achievement of PCI DSS security standard compliance validation for its detokenization service. This validation will enable companies managing large volumes of payment card transactions to automate their financial reconciliation processes more securely and efficiently, overcoming challenges that limited complete automation of these workflows.

The complexity of PCI DSS security requirements, which aim to protect cardholder confidential information, has until now hindered the total automation of reconciliation processes. With BlackLine's new detokenization service, authorized users will be able to securely access the information necessary for reconciliation, ensuring that sensitive data remains protected even in environments with millions of transactions.

Owen Ryan, chief executive officer of BlackLine, highlighted that this validation enables companies to integrate their reconciliation systems into more complex workflows without compromising security. Jill Knesek, chief information security officer of the company, emphasized that the PCI DSS standard represents an essential requirement for technology vendors focused on security, conferring a competitive advantage to companies seeking greater automation in critical financial processes.

This advancement will primarily benefit institutions in the banking and financial sectors, as well as companies in the retail, travel, and hospitality industries that deal with complex workflows related to payment cards. With more than 4,300 clients across various sectors, BlackLine remains at the forefront in developing innovative solutions that integrate artificial intelligence into key processes to ensure information integrity.
