The United States is aligned with major technology companies like those of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg to pressure the G20 to limit regulations on artificial intelligence. The North American government is acting as a spokesperson for the interests of the most powerful technology industry in the world.

The alliance between Donald Trump and Silicon Valley is described as extremely close. Major technology companies have exerted significant influence over United States government policy regarding artificial intelligence.

This pressure is happening in the context of international discussions about how to regulate AI. The G20 has become a stage for this clash between those who want fewer restrictions on technology and those who advocate for greater control.

Musk and Zuckerberg represent some of the world's largest technology companies, with substantial commercial interests in how AI will be regulated internationally. Their companies have been direct beneficiaries of this posture of the US government in international negotiations.
