The Contradança Festival begins this Wednesday in Gouveia, in Guarda, running until October 24th. The 17th edition of the festival takes place in the cities of Gouveia and Covilhã.

The event includes a diverse programme spanning dance, theatre, performance, new circus, debates and literary gatherings. The organisation combines shows with creative activities, training and reflection.

This year the festival celebrates the 20 years since the creation of the project, which according to the organisation "only stopped" being active for a period, now returning with this special edition.
