The law firm Pérez-Llorca announced the integration of Luís Roquette Geraldes and Martim Teixeira as new partners at its Lisbon office. Luís Roquette Geraldes joins the firm to lead the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) practice in the Portuguese capital, while Martim Teixeira integrates as partner of the Tax practice, strengthening this area both in tax advisory for complex operations and in tax litigation.
Luís Roquette Geraldes was previously a partner in Corporate and M&A and responsible for the team specialized in startups and Venture Capital at Morais Leitão, where he also coordinated the Private Equity area. The lawyer has a special focus on technology and life sciences sectors, having led financing rounds in more than 20 jurisdictions and advised high-growth companies and international funds. He is recognized by directories such as Chambers & Partners, IFLR1000, and The Legal 500.
Martim Teixeira joins Pérez-Llorca after four years at CS'Associados, accumulating 15 years of career dedicated to tax advisory to foreign investors and multinational groups. The new partner specializes in national and international investment operations, tax structuring of M&A operations, private equity, and highly complex financial transactions, also counting on experience in tax litigation before the Portuguese Tax Authority and courts.
Carlos Vaz de Almeida, Managing Partner of Pérez-Llorca in Portugal, stated that these integrations represent a new leap of the project in Portugal, significantly expanding the office's capabilities. The executive highlighted that the arrival of Luís Roquette Geraldes will give a new boost to the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice, joining his experience to the existing Iberian and Ibero-American platform. In parallel, the firm also announced the integration of three new partners in the Tax practice in Lima, Peru.
