Almost 10 thousand infected with cholera in Mozambique in one year

Mozambique recorded almost 10 thousand cases of cholera over a period of one year, with more than 91 confirmed deaths. Only in the last month, 150 new cases and two deaths were identified, bringing the total infected to more than 9,700.

The United Nations announced funding forecasts of up to 1.7 million euros for rapid interventions in the country, aimed at containing the spread of the disease.

The situation represents a significant cholera outbreak in Mozambique, with health authorities facing challenges in controlling the transmission of the disease.
