Caixa Geral de Depósitos officially changed the address of its registered headquarters to Parque das Nações, in Lisbon. This move represents a significant change in the location of the Portuguese banking institution.
The bank made this move about three decades after having installed its central services in the historic building located on Avenida João XXI, in Lisbon. This information indicates that the institution was at the previous address for approximately 30 years.
The move to Parque das Nações reflects a trend of various government entities and Portuguese companies that have been establishing themselves in that area of Lisbon, which has developed significantly since Expo'98.
Caixa Geral de Depósitos is one of the main banking institutions in Portugal, being a state-owned bank with a long tradition in the country. The change of registered headquarters to Parque das Nações marks the end of an era in the former building on Avenida João XXI.
