Daniela Ferreira, a Portuguese volleyball player born in Hamburg, Germany, reinforced the women's team of Vitória SC. Her career includes stints at Lusófona Voleibol, SL Benfica, and Castêlo da Maia GC, having represented Portugal in various age categories, including the senior national team, in the qualification for the 2021 European Championship and in the European Silver League.
The Portuguese international also lived a four-year experience in the United States, where she played for Odessa College, Utah Valley, and Morgan State. Daniela returned to Portugal in the 2023/24 season to represent Castêlo da Maia, the club against which she faced Vitória SC and which will precisely be the new club's first opponent of the season, in a away match scheduled for October 11.
In her first remarks as a Vitória player, Daniela expressed satisfaction at achieving a long-held ambition, revealing that she had always spoken of the club as a reference. The athlete highlighted the experience gained in the United States as a determining factor in her development, considering herself now a more complete player and prepared for new challenges.
