Santarém is consolidating its position as the main tourist hub in the Lezíria do Tejo region, concentrating around 60% of overnight stays registered in the region. This data reflects a significant moment of affirmation for the municipality in the tourism sector.

This assessment is shared by José Manuel Santos, president of the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo, who acknowledges the growth in the attractiveness of the territory.

The municipality has been awakening a growing interest from investors, operators and agents linked to the tourism sector, which contributes to the strengthening of its position in the region.

This moment of tourism affirmation positions Santarém as a rising destination, benefiting from the concentration of tourist flows in Lezíria do Tejo.
