Yolanda Hopkins finishes Fiji Pro in fifth place and moves closer to requalification

The Portuguese surfer Yolanda Hopkins was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Fiji Pro by Australian Isabella Nichols, finishing the competition in fifth place. This result allowed her to provisionally move up to 14th place in the world ranking, moving closer to requalification for the Championship Tour.

Francisca Veselko, another Portuguese surfer in competition, finished in ninth place and currently occupies 22nd place in the world ranking.

The Fiji Pro is a stage of the Championship Tour, the world surfing circuit, where surfers compete for points that determine their classification in the elite of international surfing.

Yolanda Hopkins' performance in the Fiji competition represents an important step in her journey back to the highest level of world surfing, demonstrating consistency in her performance on the Fijian waves.
