The Portuguese surfer Yolanda Hopkins was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Fiji Pro by Australian Isabella Nichols, finishing the competition in fifth place. This result allowed her to provisionally move up to 14th place in the world ranking, moving closer to requalification for the Championship Tour.
Francisca Veselko, another Portuguese surfer in competition, finished in ninth place and currently occupies 22nd place in the world ranking.
