The Police informed the National Court that Moroccan agents guided the immigrants who entered Ceuta. Judge María Tardón already has in her hands the police report that will be fundamental in determining whether the specialized court should be in charge of investigating the circumstances in which the mass entry of people occurred on July 30 and 31 in Ceuta. In the report, the National Center for Immigration and Borders (CENIF) attributes to the Moroccan Police the planning and execution of the migratory crisis experienced in the autonomous city.

Portalegre: water abstraction protected in groundwater body of the Guadiana Basin considered in "Mediocre" state

The Portuguese Government approved the delimitation of the protection perimeter for the Rabaça groundwater abstraction, in the municipality of Portalegre, intended for public supply of 19 inhabitants with an average volume of 18 cubic meters daily. The abstraction is installed in the groundwater body Maciço Antigo Indiferenciado da Bacia do Guadiana, classified with Mediocre Global Status in the Guadiana River Basin Management Plan (2022-2027). The immediate protection zone prohibits any installations or activities that are not for the conservation and maintenance of the infrastructure. The measure, proposed by the Portuguese Environment Agency based on studies by Águas do Vale do Tejo, aims to reduce risks of contamination of groundwater used for human consumption.
