The Attorney General of Brazil, Paulo Gonet, positioned himself on Tuesday night in favor of the annulment of the report prepared by the Federal Police that reveals proximity to banker Daniel Vorcaro, but did not publicly comment on the content in which he is cited. The document details the banker's relationship with Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court, including messages sent by Vorcaro to the magistrate.
The document shows that Gonet would have been invited to participate in an event organized by Vorcaro and responded, according to an interlocutor of the banker, that he expected to smoke a cigar and drink Macallan whisky. The meeting would be at the second edition of a legal forum in London.
The report also brings references to the head of the PGR in conversations between the owner of Banco Master with lawyer Ciro Soares. The document was made public on Tuesday by decision of Minister André Mendonça, of the Supreme Federal Court.
