'Will you send that one, sir?': followed by millions, Christian influencers boost Cury's 'wave'

The Avante party's presidential candidate, Augusto Cury, has been benefiting from a network of supporters with massive reach on social media. Evangelical influencers, with millions of followers, have been publishing videos declaring support for the writer and psychiatrist, generating significant engagement on their own profiles and expanding the campaign's visibility.

The shared materials extol Cury's professional trajectory, highlighting that he was an atheist and now declares himself a "borderless Christian." Religious content creators also often claim that, since he is already financially successful, he would not be in politics "to steal" — suggesting that his motivation would be different from that of other politicians.

Well-known figures in Brazilian public life, such as singer Nego do Borel and political commentator Caio Coppola, have also recently gone viral by publishing pro-Cury videos. The writer, who is known for his self-help books and impressive sales, has been stirring up the campaign through this wave of digital support.
