Flamengo is evaluating taking measures with FIFA against Dynamo Moscow, from Russia, after the Russian club rejected the signing of Ecuadorian striker Gonzalo Plata in medical exams. The red-and-black directors understand that it is necessary to pressure the Russians so they don't act this way in other opportunities.
The club issued a statement informing that Gonzalo Plata is fit for the practice of high-performance football, had been playing normally for Flamengo and the Ecuadorian national team, and has no history of surgeries, fractures, or any serious chronic problem.
Flamengo will not attempt a new sale of the player until the end of the transfer window. The club understands that Plata devalued after Dynamo's decision not to sign the contract under the allegation of physical problems.
A source from Flamengo stated that they are "evaluating all possibilities" to demand actions against the Russian club, indicating that they may seek compensation measures in the case.
