Benfica closed the signing of Argentine midfielder Cláudio Echeverri, from Manchester City. The 19-year-old player arrives at the Portuguese club to reinforce the team's midfield.
In the opposite direction, Colombian Richard Ríos leaves Benfica on loan. The 24-year-old midfielder will play in Saudi football during the sporting season.
With these movements, Benfica proceeds with adjustments to their squad, loaning out a player who was not in the main plans and securing the arrival of a young Argentine talent with international experience.
The two operations were carried out in parallel, allowing the club to adjust its salary structure and free up space for the integration of the new signing in the Portuguese league.
