Jazz festival in Beja to celebrate "freedom and creativity"

The city of Beja hosts, starting this Wednesday, October 2, the fourth edition of the B.Jazz Festival, an initiative of the Beja Municipal Council that aims to celebrate jazz "as a universal language of freedom, creativity and peace". The event runs until Saturday, October 5, at the UNESCO Center in the city.

The festival aims to promote cultural dynamism in Beja, form new audiences and provide access to musical diversity from around the world. The curatorial team is composed of Mili Vizcaíno, João Nunes, João Romão, Pedro Rijo and Daniel Antunes.

The program started on Wednesday with the screening of the film "Billie" at Parque Vista Alegre. On Thursday, the program includes the show "Take Love Easy" and a concert by Chasing Contradictions. On Friday, the Beatriz Nunes Trio and Mário Lopes perform, with Tahina Raharya as a guest. The festival concludes on Saturday with the Tomás Pimentel Septet.

Talks and a jam session with the Round Midnight, on Saturday night at 11:30 PM, complete the program of the B.Jazz Festival.
