Major-General Isidro de Morais Pereira considered that the conflict in Ukraine should not be designated as a special military operation, but rather as a war with bloody characteristics. The military officer commented on the international situation during a public intervention.
The Armed Forces officer highlighted the cancellation of the meeting between Vladimir Putin and CIA Director William Burns, noting that this fact is significant for understanding the Russian posture in the conflict.
Isidro de Morais Pereira emphasized that Putin does not give up on his intention to annul Ukrainian sovereignty, considering that the Russian president's position remains unchanged regarding the objectives set.
Major-General warned about the gravity of the situation on the ground, classifying the conflict as a war with bloody characteristics, in contrast to the official Russian terminology that uses the expression "special military operation."
