The Câmara of Vagos will proceed with the improvement of the municipal road linking the beaches of Vagueira and Areão, in the central region of the country. The municipality has already prepared the requalification project and is now awaiting the selection of the contractor responsible for executing the works.
The budget for this intervention is 650 thousand euros, plus VAT. The specifications define an execution period of 45 days for the completion of the work.
The road was severely damaged by the so-called "storm train" that hit the central region in the months of January and February this year. Due to its location and characteristics, the road between Vagueira and Areão was one of the most affected by the extreme events that occurred during that period.
