Presidential candidate Renan Santos (Missão) participated in a protest on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo on Tuesday night (1st), calling for the impeachment of minister Dias Toffoli of the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The event took place hours after Toffoli had released the candidate to return to social media and participate in interviews and debates.
During the protest, Renan announced that two impeachment requests would be filed: one against Toffoli and another against minister Alexandre de Moraes, also of the STF. The reference to Moraes is related to the disclosure of new connections between the minister and Daniel Vorcaro of Banco Master.
On Monday, Toffoli had determined, in a single-judge decision, that Renan's campaign had used irregular profiles on digital platforms for electoral campaigning. When registering his candidacy, the candidate had reported two profiles through which he would campaign.
According to Toffoli, the Missão Party only reported the existence of 16 social media channels 12 days after the candidacy registration.
