The Attorney General's Office (PGR) requested the nullification of a report prepared by the Federal Police regarding Justice Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court. The agency argues that the document presents procedural irregularities that could compromise its validity.
The PF report in question refers to investigations involving the justice in the context of the January 8, 2023 events, when vandalism occurred at the headquarters of the Three Powers in Brasília. The PGR maintains that there are flaws in the procedure for preparing the police document.
The nullification request was filed with the Supreme Court itself, the tribunal to which Moraes is affiliated as a justice. The defense presented by the PGR questions formal aspects of the investigation conducted by the Federal Police.
The request represents a new chapter in the dispute between different agencies of the Brazilian justice system. The ruling will still be analyzed by the Court, which will decide the fate of the police report.
