NASA astronaut Jessica Meir and ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot made history by carrying out a joint spacewalk that lasted more than six hours on the International Space Station (ISS). This was the sixth spacewalk carried out by an all-female team in the history of space exploration.
The two astronauts carried out various maintenance tasks on the space station during their spacewalk. The mission was considered rare, given the limited number of spacewalks carried out exclusively by women over the years.
