Environment Minister says European Commission agrees with State's return to REN

The Minister of Environment and Energy traveled to Brussels to explain to the European Commission the Portuguese State's decision to return to REN (Rede Elétrica Nacional). The Ministry led by Maria da Graça Carvalho went to present the reasons for this measure to the European authorities. The government official revealed that the decision was "well accepted" and "very well understood" by the European executive. This return of the State to the national electricity grid management company was thus validated at the highest European level, without any objections being raised to the measure taken by Portugal.
