Sporting confirmed today the loan of Pedro Gonçalves to Fiorentina of Italy. In a statement sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), the 'leões' detailed that the loan agreement is valid until the end of the 2026/27 season and provides for the payment of 2.5 million euros by the Italian club.

The deal between the two clubs could reach 25 million euros, as Sporting explained. Fiorentina has a purchase option as part of this loan agreement.

Besides Flamengo's Plata, Matheus Martins fails medical exams at Dynamo Moscow and returns to Botafogo

Besides Flamengo's Gonzalo Plata, Botafogo's forward Matheus Martins also failed the medical exams at Dynamo Moscow and will no longer be signed by the Russian club. The deal, closed weeks ago between the clubs, was worth 7 million euros upfront plus 1 million euros in bonuses. Botafogo found the situation strange, as it was similar to what their rival red-and-black team experienced, and strongly disagreed with the Russian diagnosis, since the player had been playing normally in matches. The club made its medical department available and has recent records of the exams performed. The black-and-white club is studying appropriate measures, including suing Dynamo Moscow for improperly using the player's image at the airport and in the Russian press. Matheus Martins remains in Russia accompanied by his agent.
