The United States House of Representatives approved a short-term funding proposal that avoids the so-called government "shutdown." The vote resulted in 370 votes in favor and 48 against, demonstrating broad support for the bill.
The U.S. Senate had previously approved the same measure, which means the proposal followed the regular legislative process and obtained approval in both chambers of Congress.
With the approval by the House of Representatives, the next step is only President Donald Trump's signature for the law to take effect and the government to continue functioning normally without interruptions.
