'Deserves jail': Zema and Caiado comment on revelations of messages between Moraes and Vorcaro

cbn1 September 2026 at 21:57

The main candidates for the Presidency of the Republic commented on Tuesday (1st) about revelations that Justice Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court was responsible for editing the final version of a R$ 131 million contract for legal services signed between his wife's law firm, lawyer Viviane Barci de Moraes, and the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro.

Romeu Zema, from the Novo party, used his social media to comment on the case, classifying Moraes as a "little project of a dictator" and stating that the justice "deserves jail." The candidate recalled that, when he held the position of governor of Minas Gerais, he filed an impeachment request against the magistrate.

The article also mentions that candidate Caiado commented on the revelations, although the specific passage of his statements does not appear in the article. The OAB (Brazilian Bar Association) expressed "extreme concern" after the disclosure of messages between Daniel Vorcaro and Alexandre de Moraes.

The revealed messages show that Vorcaro prepared an "ultravip" experience for Moraes in Campos do Jordão, in the interior of São Paulo. The R$ 131 million contract involves legal services from the minister's wife's law firm with Banco Master, generating controversy over possible conflicts of interest.
