Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned airlines that flying over Russian airspace will become increasingly dangerous due to the growing use of drones in military operations.
Zelensky made this statement in his daily address, where he stated that "Russian airspace is becoming extremely dangerous."
Despite the warning, Zelensky specified that civil aviation was not the target "in itself" of the drone operations, thus seeking to partially reassure the commercial aviation sector.
This warning comes in a context of intensifying aerial conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, with both parties using drones for military attacks.
