Anthropic is launching a new version of its artificial intelligence model called Fable, expected to be released later this Tuesday. The company claims that Fable 5.1 is superior to the previous model in programming and scientific tasks, while also being more cost-effective, changes made in response to customer feedback.
The new version is more competent at executing long and complex programming tasks, such as software projects and code reviews that require working across the entire codebase of an application. The model also offers better support for scientific work, including designing experiments, simulating results, and interpreting complex diagrams and tables.
Companies are increasingly seeking to justify and control the costs of using artificial intelligence at a time of growing adoption of these technologies. Anthropic responded to this scenario with improvements that aim to offer better performance at lower costs.
