The Sem Parar platform conducted a survey revealing that 88% of Brazilian drivers already know the free flow system, and 89% can visually recognize the toll gantries installed on highways. The study indicates significant progress in the popularization of this electronic toll model in the country.
Among the interviewees, 86% consider it attractive to use free flow with a tag as a payment method, and 49% highlight that the main benefit is the possibility of avoiding fines for forgetting to pay. However, 37% still express doubts about how the system works, especially regarding fee charges, road coverage, and available payment methods.
With the expansion of free flow in Brazil, fraud attempts involving false electronic toll charges are also increasing. The use of a tag is pointed out as a way to reduce scam risks, offering greater security to drivers when passing through tolls.
