The Portuguese company Oceântia was selected to supply six buses and the charging system for the Matosinhos metrobus, in a contract valued at 6.7 million euros. This contract should be approved during this Wednesday.
The supply of vehicles starts in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the last vehicle to be delivered by December 20, 2026. The charging system accompanies the fleet to ensure the operability of the electric buses.
Matosinhos is the municipality where this metrobus project is located, which aims to reinforce sustainable mobility in the region. The investment of 6.7 million euros includes not only the vehicles, but also all the necessary infrastructure for their operation.
