The surge in fuel prices is driving electrified vehicle sales in Castellón, with a 30% increase in registrations of this type of vehicle. This significant increase reflects the trend of consumers choosing more economical alternatives given the rising cost of traditional fuels.

Vehicle registrations in the province of Castellón are going through a good period. In the first eight months of 2026, there was a rise of 13.33% compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) provided by automotive industry associations.

In total, 8,527 new vehicles were registered in the provincial market during this period. Of this number, 1,565 units correspond to electrified vehicles, representing the mentioned 30% growth. The data was collected from automotive industry associations.
