PCP denounces delays and failures in the investigation of the Elevador da Glória accident

One year after the tragic accident involving the Ascensor da Glória in Lisbon, which caused the death of 16 people and injured 24, PCP paid tribute to the victims and expressed solidarity to families and friends, wishing recovery to the injured.

The communist party denounced delays and failures in the investigation of the accident, questioning the way the case has been handled since the tragedy occurred.

The Ascensor da Glória accident remains one of the most serious incidents in the history of public transport in Lisbon, having sparked great national outrage at the time it occurred.

PCP reiterated the importance of achieving justice for the victims and their families, demanding concrete answers about the causes and responsibilities of the accident.
