Tarcísio de Freitas, governor of São Paulo and candidate for reelection for the Republicanos party, again stated on Tuesday that Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, PL candidate for President, needs to provide clarifications if new facts emerge about the financing of the film Dark Horse, which tells the story of former President Jair Bolsonaro. The statement comes after a report by Piauí magazine revealed an additional disbursement of US$ 1.6 million made by former banker Daniel Vorcaro to the fund responsible for managing the film's resources.
In May, when the case was initially revealed, Tarcísio publicly defended that Flavio provide clarifications about the financing of the film production. At the time, this stance was criticized by Bolsonaro supporters. Subsequently, the governor calibrated his discourse and began stating that the explanations already provided by the senator were sufficient.
Now, with the emergence of new information about Daniel Vorcaro's additional payment, Tarcísio has again adopted a more cautious tone. According to him, the previous statements were made based on the information available at that time, without considering possible new facts that could emerge later. The governor stated that as new revelations appear, the need for clarifications may arise again.
