A study by the National Agency for Safety in Railways and Other Transport Infrastructure (ANSV) analyzed 104 falls recorded in Italy between 2023 and 2025. Of the incidents analyzed, 85 involved travelers using the integrated stairs of Ryanair's Boeing 737 aircraft. The data reveals a significant concentration of accidents associated with this specific type of boarding stairs. According to the analyses presented in the study, the determining factor for these falls is not related to technical or structural defects, but rather to passenger distraction during the use of integrated stairs.
