PS/Azores and PCP demand that the Regional Government of the Azores take measures to protect families and businesses from the fuel price increase, which takes effect today. The two parties consider that the impact on fuel prices directly affects the cost of living in the region.
PS/Azores and PCP made this demand in a joint statement, arguing that the regional executive must intervene to mitigate the effects of the price increases on Azoreans and the economic activities of the archipelago.
The position of the two parties comes following the entry into force of the new fuel price in the Azores, in a context of increasing costs that affects both consumers and regional businesses.
Both parties warn of the need for the Regional Government to adopt protective measures to address this reality, considering that without intervention the increases will worsen the financial situation of families and the operation of businesses in the Azores.
