The 10th edition of Olympics4all, an event dedicated to senior sports, physical activity and socialization, kicked off in Ponte da Barca and runs for four days. This initiative brings together participants from all municipalities in the district of Viana do Castelo, as well as users of APPACDM – Ponte da Barca Delegation.
The official opening ceremony took place at Praça da República, featuring a musical performance by Barca artist Zezé Fernandes. The mayor of Ponte da Barca was present and welcomed all participants, highlighting the role of sport in promoting active aging and improving quality of life.
During the four days of the event, participants can enjoy various activities, including volleyball, boccia, relays, swimming, traditional games and athletics. The program aims to create moments that allow participants to break from routine, meet new people and strengthen bonds between communities.
The event ends on the 4th with a closing dinner.
