The 31-year-old Uruguayan central defender José María Giménez is going to leave Atlético de Madrid to join Deportivo de A Coruña on loan. The transfer has not yet been officially confirmed.

Giménez was one of Benfica's targets to strengthen the defensive sector. However, the player ends up heading to the Galician club, leaving Diego Simeone's team.
