SIC was the most watched channel in Portugal during 2026, accumulating eight months of consecutive leadership. This prominent position consolidates the station as a reference in the national television landscape.

In August, SIC was once again the most watched channel, reinforcing its dominance in the market. At the same time, the thematic channel SIC Notícias stands out as the fastest growing in the news sector.

With these results, SIC maintains the total leadership in the information sector in Portugal, demonstrating consistency both in general programming and in the specialized news segment.

Yield rise punishes European stock markets but PSI escapes. United States bombards Iran again

Oil surged more than 3% following the US airstrikes against targets of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, near the Strait of Hormuz. The PSI escaped the negative scenario and closed up 0.44%, with Galp, Altri and Mota-Engil among the main gainers. Portuguese 10-year debt yields rose to 3.68%, while the US bombed Iran again, increasing uncertainty in global markets.
