The water from the Santa Águeda reservoir, in the district of Castelo Branco, was subjected to laboratory analyses that revealed normal values of metals, nitrates, nitrites and phosphorus. The water quality was confirmed through tests carried out at the reservoir.
The competent authorities regularly monitor the water quality of this reservoir, which is an important source of supply in the Castelo Branco region. The results of the analyses indicate that there are no concerning levels of contamination that may affect human consumption or use for agricultural purposes.
