Flamengo announced on Tuesday the "Urubu de Lima" as the winner of the Manto da Nação campaign, a project that invited fans to create a shirt made for the supporters and received over 8 thousand entries. The winning design was created by Marcelo Gluz, from Rio de Janeiro, and received 101,203 unique votes, representing 16.2% of the total voters.
The winning shirt will be produced in two versions: in the colors of the original design and in black and red, meeting a request from the fans. The piece will be sold as a limited edition, available for only seven days or while stocks last, with sales open on the club's website. Unlike other similar campaigns, the shirt will not be worn by players during Flamengo's games.
The "Urubu de Lima" design is inspired by the geoglyphs of the Nazca civilization, in Peru, and connects the club to the city that became permanently etched in the club's history with the Libertadores titles of 2019 and 2025. The concept transforms the figure of the vulture, an inseparable symbol of the club, into an element that evokes the Nazca lines seen from above, creating a link between Flamengo's identity and the Peruvian capital.
