The National Dried Fruit Fair returns to Torres Novas between October 01 and 05, in a 39th edition that aims to value the sector and assert the black fig as an identity product of the municipality. The event is promoted by the Torres Novas Municipal Council and takes place at Praça 5 de Outubro.
The event has existed since 1985, which means it is celebrating almost four decades of existence. It is a fair dedicated to dried fruits, a traditional agricultural sector in various regions of the country.
The Torres Novas municipality intends, through this fair, to highlight the black fig as the symbolic product of the territory, reinforcing local identity and supporting regional producers. The initiative aims to promote agriculture and regional products among the public.
