The needs for nurses for the Local Health Units (ULS) are estimated at about 850 professionals, according to information released by the Minister of Health.

According to the ministry, approximately two-thirds of these hiring needs are concentrated in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region, which reveals a strong demand for nursing professionals in that area of the country.

The information was transmitted by the Minister of Health herself in the context of human resources policies in the health sector in Portugal.
